boxingcollection.com - beware.

Postby yetihead » Thu Aug 30, 2007 12:21 pm

There is a website trading as boxingcollection.com or boxing-videos.net which is offering videos of boxing matches to download and burn onto DVD. (Site comes up on Google as the top sponsored link)

This website is bogus.

All it offers is a link to Bit Torrent seach engines - there are no direct links or any collection of boxing videos. You will probably end up visiting more porn sites than boxing sites.

They make it appear risk free with the offer of a 90 day trial, but they will NOT give you your money back.

Email me and I will supply my login details to the site if you are curious as to what www.boxingcollection.com are not offering!

(Please post this information on any related internet forums)

I'm sure that if you mention boxingcollection.com or boxing-videos.net beware in this context on this site, as many times as you feel happy to, you could also get this topic top of the non-sponsored list in Google.

boxingcollection.com or boxing-videos.net beware

Good idea!

I have discovered that Google ads have to be paid for every time they are clicked on. If you agree that these scammers should be made to pay,

please click HERE , click the boxingcollection.com sponsored link and make them literally PAY. Lots of times!

Or search Google for Boxing DVD and click on their ad.

if they are advertising on their site, they are probably getting the revenue back by you cliking on a link to them.

Hello,
We do not appreciate you flooding forums and giving out login details. Please bear in mind that you have made a contract with us and agreed not to share any information. We have refunded your order and now we are implementing a money back guarantee to all customers who are not satisfied with our services.
Please remember that not all people are technical. Some people do not even know how to register to forums. If our service did not help you what makes you think that it does not help others?
We have several customers who are very satisfied with our website, please stop the posting of forums.
Remember we have all your contact and personal information, we can use this against you in case you cause more damages to our site.
Also we have refunded you order long ago with paypal which only took less than 24 hours to reflect on your account? How can you say that we did not refund your order?

By the way all the testimonials on the site are real..

We are sorry if you are not satisfied with the site, but don't assume that everyone was not satisfied with our site as we have helped many people find fights that they have wanted..

You have given out many username and password stop giving it out or we would have to email paypal and tell them of your doings..

My response:
Hello,

You were not supposed to appreciate it.

I sent you a message stating my intentions:
"It is stated that my member ship is 100% risk free. That you provide a 90 day trial.
I paid for a subscription in good faith and now it appears I am being told I have been scammed.
I will raise a dispute with Paypal and also ensure every available boxing forum is informed that you are a scam merchant
There are many honest traders on the internet and you are obviously not one of them which, I think you'll agree is pretty damn shameful.
I hope you are proud to be yet another scammer on an internet which has become overcrowded with such scum.
thanks for your time.
Here's wishing that you are soon a member of the unemployed."

So it should have come as no surprise to you. Nothing stated in my forums postings (or the EBay auction I created) was untrue and I stand by the information. YOU DID NOT REFUND MY ORDER UNTIL I RAISED A DISPUTE WITH PAYPAL. If I had not paid by Paypal, I would never have received a refund. Your SCAM would have worked.

You say you are implimenting a money back guarantee and I hope this is in response to my complaint. I notice the same scam about "discounted orders" not being eligible for a refund is currently on your site.

I'm not sure about the relevance of whether people are technical or can register for forums, but if they can't then they won't see my messages, will they? Unless they are technical enough to have Ebay accounts, I suppose.

Why don't you just disable my account if you don't want my logon details used by anyone else? I sure as perfect won't be using them.

As for your intention to use my "details" against me. How would this come about? You would sue me for exposing your scam? I think not. Or are you threatening to use my details in an illegal way. If this is the case, thanks for giving me this information in writing.

I reiterate: YOU DID NOT REFUND MY ORDER UNTIL I RAISED A DISPUTE WITH PAYPAL. If I had not paid by Paypal, I would never have received a refund. Your SCAM would have worked.

Refunds

Postby Darren » Tue Sep 18, 2007 10:04 am

Whenever you buy something or pay for something online, you should use a credit card or some other form of payment, like Paypal, that offers a level of insurance, so if something goes wrong, you can get your money back from them, and they will pursue the debt with the payee.

It's interesting to see the response you got. It doesn't seem very mature. I guess the site is run by youngsters.

I have used a few of these online stores for buying Boxing footage and unless you buy official releases from the likes of amazon the quality isn't going to be great.

I bought the Hagler and Hearns boxsets off Ringside http://www.ring-side.co.uk/ and they sent the dvds next day no problem but the footage is just transferred from VHS and is quite grainy. Some of the earllier footage is very poor quality. You get what you pay for though, 40 fights for twenty quid isn't bad I suppose.
